Sacred Altars

A workshop to help you cultivate joy in the rhythm and ritual of devotion to the sacred in your life.

When: Thursday, October 30, 2025 · 11:00 a.m. MT (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT)
We’ll gather on the threshold of Samhain, a sacred time of deep listening and remembering.

The Invitation

An altar is more than a collection of objects—it’s a living conversation with the sacred. In this 75-minute workshop, we’ll explore how to create and tend altars in ways that feel nourishing, alive, and uniquely yours. Together we’ll lean into rhythm, ritual, and the quiet joy of devotion.

As part of your registration, you’ll also receive a gift set of Soft Animal Body Wisdom altar cards—9 original art cards (8 for the turning seasons, plus 1 for love). These cards will be mailed to you before the workshop so you can bring them into your practice right away.

I’ve been creating altars since I was a child—simple spaces of beauty and intention to honor desires, celebrate milestones, or mark transitions. Over time, my altars grew to include the art and oracle cards of others, alongside the offerings of the natural world: shells, stones, feathers, candles, and incense. Each piece added a layer of joy and deepened the meaning of my practice.

In recent years, I began placing an animal of my own creation on my altar each day. These beings became guardians and guides, holding a steady presence through my days. The practice changed me—it made the altar feel alive in a whole new way.

Altars can be steady companions through life’s changes—places to honor joy, hold grief, and stay connected to what matters. They remind us that we don’t have to carry it all alone, that there is a sacred rhythm we can return to, again and again.

Let your altar be a place of nourishing practice.

Why Sacred Practice Matters

Sacred practice isn’t about adding one more thing to your to-do list. It’s about cultivating a rhythm that helps you feel resourced, supported, and connected—especially in times of change or uncertainty.

When you create and tend an altar as part of your sacred practice, you’re doing more than arranging objects. You’re tending your energy. You’re resourcing yourself with beauty, intention, and devotion. You’re affirming what matters by making it visible on your altar. You’re creating a steady touchpoint that reminds you: I don’t have to hold everything alone. I can return, again and again, to what sustains me.

And here’s a not-so-secret secret: when your mind observes you engaging in the joy and presence of sacred practice, it tells your whole body-psyche—on a cellular level—that you are well-resourced. Through simple, beautiful practices that are deeply nourishing, you begin to embody abundance and connection.

Through altar-making and other devotional practices, we begin to live in rhythm with ourselves and the seasons of life. We discover that being well-resourced isn’t something outside of us—it’s something we can cultivate, daily, with our own two hands.

Be deeply supported through the joy and grounding of practice.
